A database is a collection of useful data which has been electronically recorded in a
manner which allows the data to be manipulated to achieve further
functionality. Databases can be produced for a variety of
functions.
Our most commonly requested database comprises names and addresses (usually of
clients/customers) with optional information such as contacts, contact data,
telephone number, fax number, email address, web address, orders placed
etc. Typical uses can be mail-merged fliers, personalised communications
and letters etc.
Other databases can be customer order records, product catalogues,
inventories and production records.
If financial or mathematical data (e.g. ordering
value) is included, entries can be hierarchy-selected, so that, for example,
productivity rewards or budgets can be graded.
We can produce your electronic database from traditional paper information
(e.g. lists, invoices, letters, indexing systems) or we can initiate and
develop the database from researched sources.
If you have a concept for a database, but are unsure of the practicalities etc,
please contact us.
